When we first started looking at keywords I was thinking in broad terms about what might describe my site or what someone looking for my product my search for. And I think that's a good way to do it. The problem was, I was thinking in general terms about my site because I know what it is about, but I didn't make sure those words were actually there on my site somewhere so that the bots that scour the internet could know what my site is about. Rookie mistake. Sometimes it can be hard to get those keywords in there and still feel natural, but that's where metadata comes in. You can describe your website just to the bots in places that your users won't ever see. It reminds me of a TikTok I saw the other day about how to get the algorithm to rank your videos highest, and he added keywords all over his screen, and then just moved them to the side so that you can't actually see them. It doesn't clutter up his screen, he doesn't have to post a thousand hashtags, b...
